Suduminissugama Divisional Hospital
Nestled around the Jethavanarama Buddhist monastery, over 100 families have come together to form the village of Suduminissugama. Many have relocated to this community from all over the world to avail themselves of noble association and enable their children access to Noble International School. A significant number have chosen this path to embrace a life devoted to spirituality and voluntary service. The closest medical centre, however, lay over 10km away, posing a serious challenge for residents of all ages.
To address this need, in 2025, devoted supporters of the Vimukthi Foundation constructed and gifted the Suduminissugama Divisional Hospital to the local people. In less than one year since its establishment, the facility has treated more than 7,000 patients, transcending boundaries and extending inclusive care to residents of all nearby villages.
